Merón beach

Playa de Merón is undoubtedly the most characteristic beach of San Vicente de la Barquera.

Located three kilometers from the center of the town, after crossing the La Maza Bridge and the promenade that runs along the San Vicente estuary on its left bank, it offers us one of the most significant sandy areas in the community.

Affected by the Oyambre Natural Park, it contributes to this protected natural space an interesting dune system with very characteristic vegetation.

It is undoubtedly one of the most frequented beaches in Cantabria.

Merón Beach in San Vicente de la Barquera was awarded in 2014 with the “Q” for Tourism Quality .

It has infrastructures adapted for people with reduced mobility.
